Howard Nelson joined the LMS board in May of 2008. Howard has over 26 years experience in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, medical products, and software industry. He is currently the President of Nelson BDC Corporation which provides advisory services and interim management to early stage and investment company clients. He is also an adjunct professor in the Business School at the College of New Jersey. He is currently a board member of a privately held firm. Howard received an MBA from Tulane University and an AB in Economics from Princeton University. Howard and his wife, Jennifer, reside in the Village of Lawrenceville.

Skip Conover Skip Conover has served as Treasurer and member of the Executive Board since May, 2007. His employment history includes 6 years with the FBI, 32 years with IBM, 2 years with Weichert Realtors, and 14 years with the Lawrenceville Water Company.

He is a former Chairman of the Board of the New Jersey Gateway Federal Credit Union. He is a former Trustee of the Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceville. In Lawrence Township he was a former Vice Chairman of the Recreation Advisory Committee and former Chairman of the Affordable Housing Board. Most recently, Skip was the Vice President of the Lawrenceville Water Company, and is a Court Appointed Special Advocate, representing the voice of Abused and Neglected Children in the Mercer County Family Court System.

Wes Brooks  brings extensive experience in the fields of finance, management, and investment to the Board. He was employed for three decades by JPMorgan & Company, and has served as Managing Director of the firm’s Private Bank in Washington. In 2000, following the merger of JPMorgan and Chase, Brooks was named Chief Operating Officer of the combined firms’ Investment Banking businesses in Australia and New Zealand, which now ranks as one of the region’s top three investment banks. He is currently the Chief Financial and Operating Officer of the Lawrenceville School.

He is a member of Lawrenceville’s Class of 1971, and has maintained close ties with the community and served as an advocate. He also holds a degree from Middlebury College.

Mike Cerra joined our board in June 2009.  Mike is a government relations professional for the New Jersey State League of Municipalities. His focus is on land use, environmental and community development issues, and regularly represents the interests of local governments and taxpayers before the State Legislature.  

He possesses a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Rutgers University and a Bachelor of Arts from Fordham University.   He and his wife Karen reside in the Village of Lawrenceville.

John Covello has an extensive background in governmental, community and public affairs at the federal, state and local level in various public and private sector professional positions.

He is currently Executive Director of Government & Public Affairs for the Independent Pharmacy Alliance. A graduate of the George Washington University, he has an M.A. in Political Science from Rutgers University. John is a Village resident along with his wife, Mercer County Clerk Paula Sollami Covello, and their 2 daughters. John has been active in Lawrenceville as a soccer coach in the Lawrence Hamnett League. He is also a past member of the Lawrence Township Zoning Board and a former member and vice-chair of the Lawrence Economic Growth Committee.

Steve Friedman is Vice President of Westgate Management Company, Inc., a property management and real estate development company based in Lawrenceville, NJ. Westgate Management currently manages approximately 3,000 apartments located in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Mr. Friedman is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Hotel Administration and worked for the first ten years of his professional career in the hospitality industry. Mr. Friedman is a Certified Property Manager serving on the executive committee of the New Jersey Chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) for over twelve years and chapter president in 2004. He lives in the Village of Lawrenceville with his wife and three daughter.

Lisa Hullfish has a degree in Elementary Education and Deaf Education. She has worked at the Marie H. Katzenbach School for the Deaf for 20 years teaching Reading, Performing Arts, Math and Science. She has served on the board of the Lawrenceville Historic Preservation Committee and the board of the Lawrenceville Presbyterian Nursery School. She has enjoyed living in Lawrenceville for 30 years with her husband and two daughters.

Marissa Nami has been a long-time volunteer and supporter of Main Street events. A trained banking professional, she is currently the branch manager of the Roma Savings Bank at the Manors Shopping Center.

Anthony Pizutillo joined LMS board May 2008. Tony is a public affairs professional with experience at the federal, state and local levels. Policy development, legislative strategy development, lobbying and coalition building are Tony’s specialties. Over the last twenty years Tony has practically devoted his entire public affairs profession toward representing the real estate industry. After several years working with trade associations and consulting, Tony and his partner Mark Smith formed Smith Pizzutillo LLC in 2006.

Pamela Quagliero is a Realtor at Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Princeton Junction. She is a member of the National, New Jersey and Mercer County Association of Realtors. Prior to her career in real estate, Pamela worked in Market Research Operations as a Programmer/Analyst at GfK Custom Research North America.

She is a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University with a degree in Political Science and Sociology. Pamela is a former Vice Chair of the Lawrence Township Affordable Housing Board and is currently active in the Lawrence Historical Society, Atlantic Heritage Society and Delta Zeta Alumnae of North and South Jersey. Pamela joined the LMS board in May 2010 and resides in Society Hill with her husband.

Vince Scozzari is a graduate of the Lawrenceville School and Northeastern University, with additional studies including construction technologies at the Wentworth Institute of Technology.  Executive Vice President of V. J. Scozzari & Sons, he lists an impressive number of civic and corporate endeavors, for which he has received many awards. 

Past experience includes all facets of construction management with an emphasis on contract administration and control, with current focus on executive management of this major construction firm.

Phoenix Smith has over 30 years of professional experience in public policy management and administration.  She is currently a program administrator at the NJ Department of Health and Senior Services where she manages statewide planning and grant writing activities for medical care and supportive services needed by people living with HIV/AIDS in New Jersey.

She currently sits on the Mercer County Advisory Committee on Alcohol and Drug Abuse.  She is a Fellow of Leadership New Jersey.  She holds certifications from the National Organization for Victim Assistance (NOVA) and the Community Emergency Response Team Training (CERT) to provide assistance to communities in the face of disaster. Ms. Smith received her undergraduate degree from Livingston College at Rutgers University, and received an M.S.W. from the Rutgers School of Social Work.

Catherine Thomas is employed as the Program Officer at the Charlotte W. Newcombe Foundation in Princeton.  She is trained as an infant development specialist and spent fifteen years working in neonatal intensive care units in Northern California.  Prior to joining the LMS board Catherine served on the board of the New Jersey Association for Infant Mental Health.  She lives in the Village of Lawrenceville with her husband and their son.
